What a great season!

Heavenly Horsemanship and Clear Path

What a great year of ministry sessions! The Heavenly Horsemanship program is our small group, 7-week, program. We learn all about how to care for and safely be around horses with a biblical focus. For example, when we learn how to properly lead a horse, we talk about God being the leader in our lives. Each of our groups can handle 10 guests and we are just about to finish our third and final group for 2025. This year, each group has enjoyed each other's company so much that we added a pizza party after the last session and our guests could invite their families and spouses. It has been a blessing to fellowship together and watch the Lord knitting hearts through learning about His creation.
The Clear Path program got underway late this summer and has made a life-changing impact on each of our guests. The Clear Path program is about changing one life at a time with a truth and a freedom that can only come from God. Each life touched sends ripples out to their families and communities that impacts countless souls, including the session leaders!
We quiet down for the winter and begin training our volunteers and horses around March each year. We also take time to seek God's plan for Risen Ridge. He has put a few new things on our hearts, and we're excited to see what the 2026 calendar will look like.

Helping Hands

September and October were full of helping hands at Risen Ridge Ministry! In late September, our sweet American Heritage Girls troop blessed us with hours of hard work and then in October, a group of high schoolers from Grace Christian School came and spent the morning working with us! A lot of scrubbing, cleaning, sweeping, and wiping was done and it was such a big help! The barn was left looking ready for our big anniversary celebration.
It is always so nice to have folks from the community work alongside us. Sometimes the work isn't so glamorous, but it truly makes a huge impact and we are genuinely thankful.

Risen Ridge Roundup

5 Year Anniversary Celebration and Fundraiser
On October 18th, we celebrated 5 years of serving the community. It was so sweet and special to hold this event at the barn. The event began with fall festival activities! Pumpkin bowling, a stick horse obstacle course, face painting, a ride on the Kinsinger Express around the farm, and the pony kissing booth. Everything was beautiful and a lot of fun! During that time, folks could meander through the barn, where they could meet the horses and hear their stories.
We then gathered in the Cafe and heard from a few of our guests and volunteers. It was powerful to hear the testimonies of how God has worked through Risen Ridge Ministry to change lives! Then we ate! The food was absolutely scrumptious! The burgers and hot dogs were complimented with sides from some of our volunteers as well as generously donated by Mr. BBQ and Sooner BBQ and More. We also had delicious desserts donated by Miller's Bake Shoppe. It was all very yummy!! To top the evening off, local musical artist, Abby Nicole, blessed us with a mix of country, worship, and original music that perfectly fit the atmosphere.
The day after the Roundup, someone asked me how I was feeling about it and the first word that came to mind was grateful. Grateful for the opportunity to share Jesus with people in this unique and special way, grateful that God has trusted His people with us, grateful that we have and continue to learn and grow through this journey, but most of all, grateful for the hearts and hands that He has touched to walk with us. None of this can be done without help and we have the best, most unselfish hearts around. So yes, grateful is how I feel about it.
I hope you enjoy some of the photos from the evening!
