Our Story
In 2016, God gave Chris and Jen Beck the vision of a ministry working with horses, other farm animals, and nature, to share the love of Jesus Christ with people. With steps of radical obedience, the Becks left their jobs as police officer and Registered Nurse to pursue the mission that God had put on their hearts. Jen grew up working with horses, but, other than horse knowledge and obedient hearts, there was only a beautiful vision of a powerful ministry.
By 2017, the Becks had shared the vision with their home church and close friends and they began to meet regularly to pray and seek God's direction.

To construct a Christ-centered environment in a farm setting which allows individuals or groups to connect with God through His creation. Our hope is that the environment will generate experiences that are spirit-filled and lead to self-discovery that deepens their relationship with our Lord and Saviour.

Jen Beck
Co-Founder & Director
Jen started riding horses at the age of 5 and had a career as a barn manager and professional dressage rider before becoming a mother and briefly, a Registered Nurse. She brings her God-given passion for nature, caring for His creation, and her management skills to Risen Ridge Ministry.
Chris Beck
Co-Founder & President
Chris was a police officer for 20 years before being called into full-time ministry. He learned valuable leadership, organizational, and management skills that he utilizes at Risen Ridge today.
He has been gifted with a powerful prophetic voice and truly enjoys spending time with the Lord.

Risen Ridge Ministry was birthed out of a vision given to founders, Chris and Jen Beck in 2014. Since then, they have left their occupations to serve the Lord at Risen Ridge Ministry full time. Through their obedience and walk of faith, Risen Ridge Ministry opened its doors to the community in September of 2020.
Chris and Jen met in Charlottesville, Virginia, and were married in 2002. Together, they have 6 children and enjoy the relationships they have made in their community through Risen Ridge and the farm products they share. As of 2025, they have 8 cows, both diary cows and beef cows, 8 cats, 2 dogs, and about 60 chickens.
